Arsenal are looking to prepare for another busy summer at the Emirates Stadium, as the club prepares to splash cash once again.
The Gunners have spent nearly £600m on new players since appointing Mikel Arteta in 2019 – with more than £250m to be spent in 2023 alone.
It is understood that the club will look to make money from selling a number of players in the upcoming transfer window as Arsenal look to build on their progress.
Striker, winger and midfielder are claimed to be the main priorities, with Wolves’ Pedro Neto being the top target from the wide position.
talkSPORT reported in February how Wolves would not hold back his departure in the summer, with Arsenal very impressed with him.
Elsewhere, Real Sociedad’s Martin Zobimendi has been mentioned as a potential partner for Declan Rice in midfield, with the 25-year-old having a release clause of £51.3m.
While Arsenal are promoting Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, they are unlikely to sell the Magpies, with Leipzig’s Benjamin Sisko and Sporting Lisbon’s Victor Gyukiris.
But given Sisco is five years younger than Gyukiris, as well as being available for £42.8m due to a buy-out clause compared to the Swedish international’s £85m asking price, he could be considered the ideal option.
But a number of fringe players will have to make room first for the Gunners to comply with financial regulations.
Striker Eddie Nketiah is behind Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus in the goals pecking order, as he claimed the Crystal Palace target could fetch up to £30m.
The media also reported that backup goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale could be released with Arsenal expected to turn David Raya’s loan spell from Brentford into a permanent stay.
University of Hill End graduates Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson are claimed to face an uncertain future, while surprisingly it has been said that Leandro Trossard could leave.
Trossard, who joined Arsenal from Brighton last January, has scored 13 goals this season, with only Bukayo Saka scoring more.
All signs point to a hectic summer in north London, which could see a radical change in Arteta’s squad next season.
Here talkSPORT.com takes a look at how Arsenal could start if they achieve three of their top goals.
Playing through the woods will be Raya, who has made the number one shirt his own since Ramsdale was ousted in the fifth round of the season.
Natural centre-back Ben White will retain his place at right-back in order to accommodate the formidable partnership between Gabriel and William Saliba at centre-back.
Arsenal’s forgotten star Jurrian Tempere will play in the inverted left-back role as he looks to make an impact following his anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The Dutchman joined from Ajax last summer, and started in the Community Shield and in the opening league match before suffering a knee knock.
Zobimendi will then be deployed as the sole defensive midfielder – in place of Jorginho and Thomas Partey.
This will see Rice appear in a roving box-to-box role alongside captain Martin Odegaard.
Bukayo Saka will start on the right wing, where he will be the only Arsenal striker this season to keep his place.
Gabriel Martinelli, who often plays on the opposite flank, will have to settle for a place on the bench with Neto replacing him.
Meanwhile, Havertz and Jesus would also lose out on a starting spot if Cisco is brought in, with Arteta keen for a physical striker to lead the line.
